The Research Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for development of packing methods for prepacked large scale chromatography columns.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Column Packing & Functionality and is located in Uppsala, Sweden and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop methods for large scale prepacked chromatography columns, that will support both new product development, product care and sales support
• Working closely together with production teams to support manufacturing processes for prepacked columns, to ensure efficient and robust manufacturing.
• Perform laboratory investigations - on your own or as a team - through planning, execution and analysis of results
• Take part in defining customer needs and verifying them
• Present, orally and in writing, results and conclusions from studies performed

The essential requirements of the job include:

• BSc/MSc degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemical/ Biomedical Engineering, Chemical engineering
• Structured and organized team player with good interpersonal skills with attention to details
• Flexible and good track record to deliver according to deadlines
• English and Swedish as working languages with good communication skills (both written and spoken)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Method development for chromatography columns or column packing methodologies
• Working with large scale processes
