About this opportunity:
Product Engineering Unit Radio is a unit within HW Engineering, responsible for development, release, maintenance, and quality assurance of Ericsson Radio Portfolio. Further, PEU Radio is responsible to secure technology for future platforms and products, including technology strategy and specification of components, modules, and ASICs that future products will be based upon. Performing the responsibilities of PEU Radio is done with tight collaboration within HW Engineering Unit in general and with PEU Silicon and PEU Radio Unit Software in particular.
Radio Systems & Technology sector drives radio product and technology evolution, high level systemization, architecture definition, standardization, mid- and long-term development plans, and long-term product plans (products and features) for PEU Radio.
What you will do:
* Work with the latest technical challenges and develop the best radio concepts based on innovation in RF technology, Asic Design, Mechanics, Algorithms, Machine learning ….
* Ensure a world-leading portfolio of Radio products to support all our customer’s needs.
* Lead early systems studies of new technologies, Radio concepts, products, and features.
* Participate in high level system solutions in cooperation with other system- and design organizations.
* Coordinate with designers, program managers, line managers to successfully deliver solution proposals.
* Support design and verification activities.
* When needed, drive design choices to a conclusion.
The skills you bring:
* Strong knowledge of Radio access technologies (WCDMA, LTE, NR), especially in the areas of Radio system design.
* Strong wireless system design background in one of the following: Radio HW, Radio SW, Embedded Systems, Radio Access Networks, or similar.
* Experience in those areas is a plus: radio requirement allocation, link budget, signal processing and digital design
* At least 5 years of experience in system development.
* Great ability to work with both short-term and long-term objectives, involving the big picture as well as implementation details.
* Self-motivation, drive, and initiative
* Strong analytical skills
* Education: M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering / Engineering Physics / Wireless communication systems, or equivalent.
