Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled PCB Designer for an exciting consulting assignment within the defense and security industry. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing PCB layouts, ensuring high-performance designs in a cutting-edge technological environment.

Your Role: As a PCB Designer with expertise in Siemens Xpedition, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and documenting PCB layouts. Your role will also involve evaluating and improving our client’s design tools and processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize PCB layouts using Siemens Xpedition.
• Read and interpret schematics for effective layout design.
• Conduct signal integrity analysis and ensure optimal component placement.
• Document designs using the PDM system (primarily IFS).
• Drive tool evaluation, improvement initiatives, and best practice sharing.
• Collaborate closely with electronics, systems, and mechanical engineers.

Requirements:

• 3–7 years of experience in PCB design (Level 3).
• Extensive experience with Siemens Xpedition Layout.
• Proficiency in signal integrity analysis and component placement.
• Ability to interpret and transform electrical schematics into efficient layouts.
• Familiarity with PDM systems (preferably IFS).
• Strong communication skills and experience working in project teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience with tool evaluation and process improvement.
• Interest in knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination.
