The Role

We are seeking a brilliant and experienced Senior Digital Design & Systems Engineer with a PhD to take a leading role in the design, implementation, and verification of complex digital systems for our next-generation products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep, hands-on understanding of FPGA and ASIC workflows, coupled with a strong theoretical background in electronics and telecommunications. You will be a key contributor to our most challenging projects, from system-level architecture down to hardware implementation and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify complex digital logic for FPGAs and ASICs using VHDL/Verilog.
• Develop and integrate digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for advanced telecommunication systems.
• Take ownership of the hardware development lifecycle, from specification and architecture to board-level integration and validation.
• Collaborate closely with RF and antenna engineers to ensure seamless system performance and integration.
• Utilize Matlab and Python for system modeling, simulation, data analysis, and automation.
• Develop embedded software in C for system control, drivers, and testing.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation for designs and projects.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our design methodologies and workflows.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Proven, hands-on experience in the complete FPGA and/or ASIC design flow (RTL coding, synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, verification).
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Digital Electronics and Telecommunication principles (e.g., modulation, coding, wireless protocols).
• Full professional proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Acceptable working knowledge of Antenna theory and RF system fundamentals.
• Proficiency in system-level modeling and algorithm development using Matlab.
• Strong programming skills in C and Python.
• Experience with lab equipment for testing, debugging, and validation (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
• Familiarity with modern verification methodologies (e.g., UVM/OVM) is a plus.
