About the role

Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for optimizing value, driving efficiency and cost savings? We are looking for a Senior Buyer MRO & Capex to join our team in Karlshamn! In this role, you will lead sourcing projects, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost optimization while ensuring compliance with procurement best practices in Europe.

This position is based in Karlshamn Sweden

Responsibilities

As Senior Buyer your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Purchasing goods, materials, and services in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Lead sourcing projects within MRO and Capex
• Monitor market trends and supplier strategies to identify cost-saving and risk-reduction opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, improve pricing and business terms, and ensure contract compliance.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, holding regular contract review meetings.
• Ensure procurement system accuracy, including supplier approvals, contract management, and ERP systems.
• Provide consultative support to internal stakeholders, including senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and business value.

About you

To be successful in the role you need:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with experience in MRO is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
• Experience in contract management, supplier evaluation, and negotiation.
• Effective communication and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and analytical tools to interpret data and support decision-making.
• Fluency in Swedish and English.
