We are hiring for a Design Manager to join our Game Design team here at Starbreeze.

You'll be a key player in production and specifically the Design team, both managing a group of talented Game Designers and contributing directly to our projects. You’ll be a leader and a creator, ensuring high-quality work and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment. You'll be the voice of your team, helping to shape the very core of our game.

Please note that this role must be based at our office in Stockholm 5 days per week.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• 🤖 Own AI behaviors: You'll be the creative force behind our AI game design features and behaviors, from prototyping and implementation to iteration.
• 
  
• 👹 Develop archetypes: You'll help define and develop enemy archetypes and behavior sets, ensuring they fit seamlessly with the broader game design.
• 
  
• ⚙️ Get technical: You'll implement and tune AI logic using Behavior Trees and scripting.
• 
  
• 🤝 Collaborate cross-functionally: You'll work closely with Animators, Artists, Engineers, and QA to integrate AI features and deliver a top-notch player experience.
• 
  
• 📈 Refine systems: You'll use playtest results, analytics, and feedback to continually refine and improve AI game design systems.
• 
  
• ✍️ Documentation: You'll create and maintain clear documentation to keep everyone on the same page.
• 
  
• 🫂 Mentor and guide: You'll work closely with your team, mentoring less experienced Designers and ensuring our quality is consistently of a high standard.
