Role: Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant

Assignment Overview
This role supports a Dynamics 365 FnO and Commerce Payments product implementation.
The consultant will be responsible for configuring and documenting solutions across retail channels, with a strong focus on payment integrations, order flows, and omni-channel processes.
Responsibilities
- Retail & Commerce Functional Setup
- Channel configuration for POS, Call Center, and E-commerce.
- Define and configure payment methods, tender types, and card types per channel.
- Integrate payment connectors such as Adyen, PayPal, and others.
- Set up tokenization and PCI compliance-related settings.
- Omni-channel Commerce Order Payments
- Configure unified payment flows and refund processes across channels.
- Activate and manage:
- Unified payment posting journal defaults
- Omni-channel payments
- Duplicate payment protection
- Multi-capture refunds
- Set up Call Center channel and map payment operations.
- Call Center Payment Capabilities
- Enable order completion with pre-validation of payments.
- Configure refund methods, RMA processing, and linked refunds.
- Assign users to Call Center channel for centralized payment handling.
- E-commerce Payment Module
- Configure connector properties, supported tender types, and module hierarchy.
- Practical Implementation Scope
- Configure payment method and operation mapping by channel.
- Handle gift card, loyalty point, and customer account transactions.
- Test cross-channel scenarios like online ordering, POS pickup, and call center refunds.
- Understand and manage scheduler jobs (e.g., 1070, 1110) for payment data synchronization.
- Agile & Product Collaboration
- Define and prioritize backlog items with the product team.
- Participate in sprint planning, demos, and delivery reviews.
- Support the team in achieving solutions through standard configurations.
- Documentation & Quality Assurance
- Author and review design documents, functional specs, and test scenarios.
- Ensure boundary conditions and integration mapping are captured in designs.
- Support quality checks, acceptance testing, and training sessions.
- Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with technical consultants to align functional and technical solutions.
- Provide troubleshooting and implementation support during build and deployment.
- Stay current with D365 Retail and Commerce updates and trends.
Key Skills Required
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (FnO and Commerce)
- Experience configuring payment integrations (Adyen, PayPal, etc.)
- Knowledge of POS, Call Center, and E-commerce payment flows
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Agile methodology experience
- Hands-on experience with cross-channel retail systems and configurations
