About the position

We are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking Area Sales Manager for Tubes & Profiles within Special Steels. In this role, you will lead a dedicated and diverse team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Inside Sales professionals. You’ll be responsible for global tubes and profiles sales and work closely with local colleagues across geographies to support customer success. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on sales leadership in a supportive and innovative environment.

Main responsibilities

  • Inspire, support, and lead a team of sales professionals focused on tubes and profiles within Special Steels.
  • Identify customer needs and present technical solutions based on Hardox® and Strenx® tubes and profiles that create real value to end users.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of our sales strategy in special steel tubes & profiles.
  • Oversee sales operations including budgeting, forecasting, pricing, customer development, and performance tracking.
  • Be an active member of the Tubes & Profiles, Duroxite, and XMOR sales management team.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive work environment, aligned with SSAB’s safety principles.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market insights and customer engagement.
  • Support team development through coaching, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
  • Improve sales processes in line with our principles to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure transparent customer documentation and collaboration through Salesforce.
  • Promote sustainable business practices in line with SSAB’s Code of Conduct and ethical standards.


About You

  • You hold a university degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering.
  • You bring experience in leading teams with empathy and clarity, aligned with SSAB’s leadership principles.
  • You have a background in tubular products and understand the customer landscape.
  • You are confident in value-based selling and have a strategic mindset.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively, and you’re comfortable negotiating in English. Knowledge of Swedish and/or Finnish is a plus.
  • Most importantly, you are curious, inclusive, and motivated by helping others succeed.
