Assignment – Supply and Demand Planning Consultant (Construction Industry)

We are currently seeking a skilled consultant with expertise in supply chain and demand planning to join an international project within the construction sector. This role is focused on optimizing inventory flows, balancing supply and demand, and coordinating closely with manufacturing and sales teams to ensure seamless operations.

Role Overview

As a Supply and Demand Planner, you will be responsible for maintaining an efficient inventory balance across multiple locations. You will play a key role in aligning forecasts with production capacity and working closely with manufacturing units to prevent supply chain disruptions. Your portfolio will include a range of SKUs for which you’ll be accountable from planning through to inventory oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning

• Maintain and refine supply plans for production sites based on forecasted demand and available capacity
• Communicate forecast and net requirements to manufacturing facilities
• Collaborate with factories to define flexibility and lead times
• Monitor purchase orders, ensuring alignment with production lead times and constraints
• Analyze supply data to support accurate and timely communication with suppliers and factories
• Set and monitor inventory targets in coordination with vendor schedulers, ensuring optimal stock levels

Demand Planning

• Lead the monthly demand forecasting process
• Collaborate with sales and finance to collect input and feedback on demand projections
• Work with Sales to interpret campaign impacts, delivery expectations, and market changes
• Analyze variances between forecast and historical performance, identifying root causes
• Utilize demand planning software as the core system for forecast creation and analysis

Inventory Management

• Plan stock replenishment across warehouse networks, preventing shortages and reducing surplus
• Maintain planning parameters for finished products, spare parts, and reorder levels
• Manage supplier performance, including deliveries, returns, and claims
• Investigate out-of-stock incidents, implement corrective measures, and suggest improvements

S&OP and Performance Tracking

• Oversee product lifecycle activities with regard to factory and supply chain readiness
• Coordinate supply planning sessions and alignment with production teams
• Manage priorities in the event of supply bottlenecks according to predefined allocation logic
• Act as a contact point for sales units and S&OP teams across central and regional hubs
• Track inventory KPIs and report deviations, performing root cause analysis and recommending actions

Assignment Details

• Start date: As soon as possible
• End date: November 12, 2025
• Workload: Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Location: Near Jönköping, Sweden
• Languages: English and Swedish required

Note: A service fee of 0.7% will be deducted from the total invoice for the duration of the assignment.
