Assignment Overview

Our client in the construction industry is looking for a Supply and Demand Planning Consultant. The main responsibility is to optimize inventory levels across the supply chain while ensuring high customer service, forecast accuracy, and safety stock compliance. This role serves as the key interface with manufacturing sites for issue resolution and planning alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning

  • Manage and improve supply plans and factory orders
  • Share forecast and net demand with manufacturing sites
  • Coordinate flexibility options with factories
  • Place and follow up on production orders based on lead times and capacity
  • Analyze supply plans to ensure accurate production communication
  • Set inventory targets for vendor supplies and packaging components
  • Monitor inventory levels vs. targets

Demand Planning

  • Lead the monthly demand planning process
  • Collect and evaluate forecasts from sales and finance
  • Align with sales on campaign impact and delivery plans
  • Analyze and close gaps between forecast and historical demand
  • Maintain Demand Planning system as the main forecasting tool

Inventory Management

  • Plan replenishment across distribution centers
  • Manage overstock and obsolete products
  • Update planning parameters for finished goods and spare parts
  • Collaborate with factories to manage delivery, claims, and returns
  • Investigate out-of-stock issues and recommend solutions

S&OP and KPIs

  • Coordinate product lifecycle (phase-in/out) with factories and supply chain
  • Lead factory supply planning meetings
  • Manage supply bottlenecks and prioritize as per agreed allocations
  • Work closely with S&OP managers and sales teams
  • Inform teams about supply plans and deviations
  • Conduct root cause analysis and define corrective actions
  • Report inventory levels of finished goods, accessories, and spare parts
