Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer on behalf of our client, to join a collaborative team focused on SIM management and ordering systems, built on AWS. The role is backend-focused, developing secure, scalable services using Node.js, TypeScript, and serverless AWS services.

Assignment Summary

• You’ll work on an event-driven, fully serverless architecture, with AWS EventBridge at its core.
• The ideal candidate has a passion for clean code, automated testing, and thrives in fast-paced, agile environments with quick feedback cycles.
• You’ll be part of a high-trust, open culture team where collaboration, pragmatism, and ownership are essential.
• While frontend experience (React) is a bonus, it is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement event-driven backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop and integrate AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Use AWS SAM for infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product stakeholders.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
• Integrate with BSS/Telco systems (subscriptions, billing).
• Participate in architectural planning and code reviews.
• Promote a transparent and supportive team environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive backend development with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with AWS serverless architecture.
• Knowledge of EventBridge, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and S3.
• Experience in writing automated tests (unit, integration).
• Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions.
• Comfort working in agile, cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Background in IoT or Telco systems.
• Familiarity with AWS SAM, VPC, networking, or IaC tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security and data privacy best practices.
