Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Functional Safety Specialist to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Review product designs, technical documentation, and test results to verify compliance with EN 1175:2020 and ISO 13849 standards
• Perform functional safety assessments, including risk analyses and evaluations of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL)
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to assess safety risks and propose effective mitigation strategies
• Ensure safety-critical systems are validated and documented according to functional safety standards throughout the product lifecycle
• Support the certification and compliance process by providing expert input on functional safety requirements
• Identify and address potential safety concerns in the final stages of development, ensuring readiness for product release
• Work closely with the customer and internal teams to align on safety goals and ensure successful project delivery

What you bring:

• Proven experience with EN 1175:2020 (industrial truck safety) and ISO 13849 (machinery safety) standards
• Hands-on knowledge in conducting functional safety assessments, risk analyses, and managing the safety lifecycle
• Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or software engineering with a focus on safety-related systems
• Experience in the design and validation of safety-critical systems
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering and project teams
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in functional safety (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer) are considered an asset
