DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a TOC Engineer to join our Technical Operations Center team in Kalmar. In this role, you will focus on incident management, ensuring smooth operations with internal systems, and providing critical support in resolving technical issues.

  • Conduct in-depth troubleshooting at both the software and network layers to identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Acting as Incident Manager for our core services, ensuring timely resolutions and minimizing system downtime.
  • Monitor internal alerts for our platforms, networks, and overall traffic quality to ensure quality and stability is maintained.
  • Document and track alerts and incidents for future improvements.
  • Using insights from resolved incidents to drive ongoing system improvements and optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth resolution of issues.
  • Provide technical support for suppliers and operators.
  • Block fraud, phishing, and AIT traffic.

In this role you will play a critical part in coordinating teams and overseeing the stability of Sinch core services. This plays an essential role in helping the company protect revenue and margins by minimizing operational disruptions.

This position provides exposure to a wide range of situations across different teams within the company, offering significant learning and growth opportunities, and positioning you as a valuable candidate for future roles across the organization.

Based in Kalmar, Sweden this role offers the opportunity to work in a diverse office environment alongside multiple technical teams. You will have this as your base when collaborating with colleagues across multiple regions around the globe.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or experience in related fields.
  • Curious mindset with a strong passion for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal as well as external teams and stakeholders, taking ownership of issues, and demonstrating accountability.
  • Solid understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
  • Willingness to work in 24/7 shift rotation.

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience with incident management and platform monitoring.
  • Background in telecom or relevant fields.
  • Understanding mobile communications standards like GSM and 4G.
  • Familiarity with UNIX and Linux systems.
  • Knowledge of the SS7 protocol suite and SIGTRAN.
  • Database knowledge.
