Arbetsbeskrivning
Sun Finance is a high-growth financial institution currently evolving its platform to the next level of market sophistication.
With our foundational documentation in place and a clear strategic roadmap, we are looking for a CFO to take the helm of our financial operations.
This is a rare opportunity to join an established lender at a pivotal moment, taking full ownership of a modern finance function as, we expand our service offering and scale our presence in the Nordic market.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Act as the primary advisor to the CEO and Board on capital allocation, margin optimization, and the long-term financial health of the institution.
- Treasury & Capital Management: Manage the institution’s liquidity, funding strategy, and capital structure.
You will lead the transition from wholesale funding to a more diversified and optimized banking-grade balance sheet.
- Reporting & Internal Controls: Oversee the transition to advanced regulatory reporting frameworks (COREP/FINREP).
Ensure that our accounting (IFRS) and internal control environments meet the highest standards of the Swedish financial sector.
- Risk & Compliance Oversight: Monitor and mitigate financial risks, ensuring our internal frameworks (ICAAP/ILAAP) are not just compliant but serve as strategic tools for growth.
- Process Automation: Spearhead the digital transformation of the finance function, leveraging automation to ensure a lean, scalable back-office that supports high-volume lending.
- Stakeholder Diplomacy: Maintain and strengthen professional relationships with external auditors, investors, and the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen).
Who You Are
- The Step-Up Candidate: You are likely a high-performing Finance Director, Head of Treasury, or Head of Regulatory Reporting at a Swedish bank or fintech, or a Senior Manager in Financial Services Audit/Consulting, ready for your first C-suite role.
- Swedish Market Expert: You have a deep understanding of the Swedish regulatory landscape and the "Banking and Financing Business Act."
- Bilingual Communicator: You possess native or professional-level fluency in Swedish (for regulatory and legal matters) and English (for board and strategic communication).
- Hands-on Builder: You are comfortable working in a lean team where you must "set the standard" yourself before delegating.
You prefer the agility of a mid-sized player over the bureaucracy of a Tier-1 bank.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership within a bank or regulated financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, RFR 2, and Swedish tax/accounting principles.
- Experience with capital adequacy, liquidity management, and financial modeling.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CFA is a plus.
