We’re one of the world’s oldest start-ups — and we’re just getting started.
At Husqvarna Group, innovation is in our DNA. With over 330 years of heritage and a passion for pioneering technology, we design and deliver world class products and solutions for forest, park, garden and construction care. From robotic lawn mowers to cutting-edge chainsaws and sustainable battery systems, we’re shaping the future - and we want you to be part of it.
Join our Manufacturing Engineering organization in Huskvarna, where Production Engineering collaborates closely with Automation & IT to keep our factories running safely and efficiently. You will support daily operations and continuous improvement for our Chain & Bar factories and report to Group Manager, Rasmus Almström.
About the role:
As an Automation Engineer, you will own PLC/SCADA/HMI development (primarily Siemens TIA/S7 and Beckhoff TwinCAT 2/3), design and implement code changes, and commission upgrades on live equipment. When issues arise, you will diagnose them at the source - on the line - then close the loop by hardening code, standardizing the fix, and documenting what we have learned.
Working side‑by‑side with production, you will prioritize improvements that lift throughput, quality and uptime, while ensuring that our connected machines supply our MES system with data that drive smarter decisions. A big part of the work is the listen in and understand the organizations problems and challenges, and to take these into actions.
You will keep our standards sharp by creating clear work instructions, coaching operators on new functionality, and making sure every change meets safety and quality requirements (APQP/PPAP).
As an Automation Engineer you can expect a visible, hands‑on impact, high tempo, and the satisfaction of seeing your solutions perform.
About you:
We’re seeking a highly motivated engineer with a passion for technology, automation and innovation. You thrive in a collaborative environment yet take ownership when it’s needed. A structured mindset, strong problem‑solving abilities and clear communication help you contribute effectively - both in team deliveries and in hands‑on work on the line. You enjoy a high‑tempo setting where no two days are the same, and you like working with people as much as with machines.
Your skills and background:
