About the AssignmentWe are looking for a technically sharp and communicative engineer to safeguard a Telematics Service Platform (TSP) within the connected-car domain.
In this role, you will work hands-on with end-to-end vehicle connectivity, combining deep technical troubleshooting with incident leadership and clear stakeholder communication.
You will operate close to production, collaborate across teams and external connectivity partners, and help ensure a stable service experience for customers.
Job Description- Perform advanced log analysis and troubleshooting to trace end-to-end telematics flows and pinpoint failures across vehicle/ECU, mobile network (MNO), and cloud backend
- Leverage AI-assisted tools and automation to speed up incident investigation, pattern detection, anomaly detection, and incident triage to reduce MTTD/MTTR
- Own and continuously improve monitoring, observability, dashboards, metrics, and alert rules; separate actionable incidents from noise and close monitoring gaps
- Lead major incidents end-to-end, from initial alert through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), reporting, and proposals for long-term corrective actions
- Act as the primary technical contact for customer-impacting issues and translate technical findings into clear, actionable updates for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with MNO partners to resolve connectivity issues such as APN, SIM provisioning, and roaming that affect service availability
- Create and maintain documentation, including knowledge base articles (KBAs) and SOPs, to enable 1st line support and improve future resolution speed
Requirements- Previous experience in 2nd line support, or as Product Owner/Architect, specifically within telematics or connected car platforms
- Expert-level ability to query and interpret logs using tools such as ELK, Loki, GCP Cloud Logging, or Splunk
- Proficiency in SQL and Redis
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and their monitoring suites
- Demonstrated interest or hands-on experience applying AI or automation to operations and incident management (e.g., log summarization, anomaly detection, alert correlation, RCA assistance)
- Exceptional verbal and written English, with the ability to explain technical failures to customers and management
- Willingness to participate in on-call work
- Willingness to travel when needed
Nice to have- Strong understanding of MNO connectivity (cellular networks, SIM life cycle)
- Mandarin language skills for collaboration with global development teams
