Are you a breast radiologist looking to take the next step in your medical career? Would you like to work at one of the best hospitals in Sweden? Then you have come to the right place!

You are a radiologist with a breast radiology profile. We would like you to have at least one year's experience of breast radiology. We are focused on quality and development, and it is important that you thrive in such an environment.

Our offer

We have new, modern equipment with DBT (Digital Breast Tomosynthesis). The equipment is prepared for CESM (Contrast-Enhanced Spectral Mammography). We are in the forefront of AI usage and are using Transpara by Screenpoint to select screening exams that are suitable for single radiologist reviews – the rest are double-read.

As a specialist doctor at the mammography department, you are responsible for reviewing mammography and independently examining patients with palpation, ultrasounds and an array of biopsies, including stereotaxic and DBT-guided biopsies. Screening review is also included in your work, as well as multidisciplinary conferences.

The offer is for a 100% position within breast radiology, but we are open to a combination position of breast radiology and general radiology if this is of interest for you.

Your future workplace

The Department of Radiology is a county-wide, 24/7 service with approximately 360 employees, operating across the county’s three hospitals: Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping, Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö, and Värnamo Hospital. The department provides modern, high-technology diagnostic imaging and offers a broad and advanced range of examinations.

The Mammography Unit is part of the county radiology department and performs around 10,000 clinical examinations and 36,000 screening examinations annually. Clinical services are based in Jönköping, with screening also carried out via a mobile unit and at Värnamo Hospital. The team consists of approximately 30 professionals, including breast radiologists, radiographers, and medical administrators, using Sectra RIS and PACS.
