Axis has a strong network of partners who develop creative software solutions on top of our strong hardware and software portfolio. The mission of our Developer Success team within R&D is to work both operationally and strategically to make these partners successful. We are now looking for an experienced software engineer to join this talented and creative team. You will be a link between R&D teams who provide APIs (both on-device and in cloud) and external development partners who build solutions upon these APIs. What you'll do here day-to-day: * Work directly with pilot partners to bring new API functionality to market - showcase Axis offering and help the partner make it work for them * Educate and train other Axis functions (e.g. sales-focused roles) on API offerings to scale these offerings beyond pilot partners * Evaluate new API functionality and provide feedback to R&D teams from the perspective of an external developer * Identify gaps in Axis offer to developers and work with other R&D teams to make sure these gaps get filled * Create content that can help external developers: blog posts, videos, demo applications and similar * Think strategically about developer support - how to make a broad range of partners successful with a low-touch effort Who are we looking for? * You are a developer at heart; coding is a natural way for you to solve problems - both at work and in your personal life * You have a proactive, can-do attitude * You get energized by solving problems, helping others, and bringing new ideas to fruition * You are an excellent communicator who can explain complex topics to both developers and business-focused roles * You are curious about new technology, and you are eager to try out and embrace new tools, for example in the AI space We'd love to hear that you have * A strong technical background as a professional software engineer, including hands-on experience with multiple of the following technologies: * API Proficiency: Strong experience with GraphQL (querying, mutations) and REST APIs. Familiarity with VAPIX is a strong plus. * Video Streaming Expertise: Understanding of video protocols, specifically WebRTC signaling flows, STUN/TURN servers, and RTSP. * Cloud & Identity Security: Hands-on experience with modern authentication standards, specifically OAuth 2.0(OpenID Connect) and JWT flows. * Edge/Hybrid Computing: Understanding of the trade-offs between edge processing (bandwidth saving) vs. cloud processing (compute power). * Development Experience: Ability to read/write code examples (Python, JavaScript, etc.) to assist partners with API integrations. * A university degree in engineering or computer science, or similar experience It is a bonus if you also have prior experience with * Axis technology and product portfolio * Working in a market-facing role, such as Technical Support Engineer, Sales Engineer, Product Specialist or similar What Axis have to offer We are a world leader in network video, where cutting-edge technology meets global impact.
