Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Automotive – SW Component Owner to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Act as the single point of contact for the assigned software component, internally and towards suppliers
• Drive and coordinate software development activities for the component across the full lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software component owners
• Plan, coordinate, and secure successful software integration and releases in line with platform and program goals
• Manage software requirements, documentation, and release-related activities
• Ensure software quality through verification, debugging, and continuous follow-up
• Support compliance, alignment, and readiness for delivery within a complex automotive environment

What you bring:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software and/or embedded systems development
• Strong understanding of software development, integration, and release management
• Experience in software quality assurance, verification, and debugging
• Ability to work in structured, proactive, and collaborative ways with multiple stakeholders
• Comfort working in complex environments at the intersection of technology, process, and people
• Knowledge and experience of Volvo’s software development processes is a strong merit
