Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior GCP Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Set up, migrate, and manage platform solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) within a database team
• Ensure cloud environments are stable, scalable, and adhere to established guidelines
• Support development of internal platforms and actively share expertise across the organization
• Participate in technical decisions and help establish efficient processes for platform management and cloud migration
• Plan and execute work independently while maintaining high-quality delivery and meeting deadlines
• Collaborate closely with the team to drive best practices for GCP operations, Kubernetes (GKE), and cloud-native solutions

What you bring:

• At least two years of experience as a cloud engineer or equivalent within GCP
• Previous production experience with GCP, including cloud migrations or new environment setups (landing zones)
• Relevant academic education or documented training, certifications, or equivalent experience
• Experience with GKE and cloud-native orchestration
• Strong Swedish and English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Cloud Build
• Familiarity with Crossplane, Kubernetes, Envoy, and EntraID
• Experience with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and modern security principles such as Zero Trust, Least Privilege, and DevSecOps
• Proven experience in complex, transaction-intensive IT environments with high availability, confidentiality, accuracy, traceability, and accessibility requirements, ideally in B2C domains such as retail, banking, or finance
