About the position
The tenure-track position is in business administration with a focus on accounting – including areas such as financial reporting, auditing, management accounting and control, and sustainability accounting – ideally complemented by an emphasis on data analytics, artificial intelligence, or digitalization.
The successful candidate is expected to thrive in a research environment that values methodological pluralism and theoretical diversity in the study of accounting phenomena.
The appointment is for six years. The basic requirement is that candidates are strong both in research and teaching. Ideally, applicants should be able to teach in each of these areas at the undergraduate level. However exceptional competence within one or two of these fields can compensate for shortcomings in the remaining field(s).
Qualified candidates should hold a doctoral degree (or equivalent) and must have completed said requirement before taking up the position. A tentative starting date for the successful applicant is August/September 2026, but SSE is open to discussing other dates, whether earlier or later. Salaries are set on an individual basis.
