About the role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Financial Controller to take a leading role in our global accounting operations. In this position, you will not only prepare and review financial statements but also participate in budgeting, forecasting, and ensure compliance with Swedish GAAP and regulations in our international markets. You’ll also oversee core finance activities such as billing, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, cost accounting, and revenue recognition across multiple entities worldwide.

What makes this role unique is the opportunity to be part of a smaller, collaborative finance team, where your contributions will have a direct and visible impact. You’ll work closely with auditors, tax authorities, and banks while ensuring strong internal controls and financial policies are in place. Beyond day-to-day operations, you’ll provide valuable insights to leadership, shaping strategic decisions and supporting our continued global growth.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll also play an important role in mentoring colleagues and fostering teamwork, creating an environment where everyone can thrive and learn together. This is a chance to combine hands-on accounting expertise with strategic influence in a dynamic, international company.

Your key responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. In a fast-paced growing company like Web Manuals, your contribution as the Financial Controller will be key for ensuring that we plan ahead based on a solid understanding of our financial status, and that our reporting brings clarity of our financial performance.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition. With our presence across the globe, we have small operations in local markets, and as the Financial Controller, you will have the opportunity to oversee all parts of the finance and accounting activities.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and support cross-functional teams as needed. At Web Manuals leadership is important to us and we strive for leadership through innovation and excellence. Helping junior colleagues grow through coaching and mentoring is what we do every day, and you should be inspired to do so too.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards according to local GAAP in Sweden, where our headquarters are located, along with subsidiaries in USA, Singapore, Australia, Spain, Panama and additional international markets to which Web Manuals expands its operations (supported by local compliance service firms).
  • Maintain and update internal controls and financial policies. At Web Manuals our vision is to be the world standard in digitizing manuals for the aviation industry. We take pride in using the same tool for documenting our own internal controls and policies.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience within accounting or financial controlling.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices according to Swedish GAAP.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • A personal mindset marked by accountability, adaptability, motivation, strong work ethic, and time management skills
  • Having experience of and enjoy working with the following is plus:
  • Fortnox and QuickBooks.
  • Finance and Accounting in a SaaS company.
  • Processing Swedish payroll.
  • Group consolidation.
  • Working in an international environment.
