Compliance Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Compliance Engineer to join our Certification & Compliance (C&C) team. This global department consists of around 35 professionals located in Sweden, France, USA, Brazil, and India. Our mission is to manage certification and compliance activities to ensure that products meet all applicable regulatory requirements for power, emissions, CO₂, OBD, EMC, and electrical safety—both at the time of certification and throughout the product lifecycle. These activities are essential to delivering sustainable products, minimizing compliance risks, and contributing to a better environment.

The Sweden-based team consists of around 10 experienced engineers with strong backgrounds in engine development, verification, certification, and regulatory compliance. It is a collaborative and supportive group, providing an excellent forum for knowledge sharing and professional growth.

What you will do

As a Compliance Engineer, you will play an important role in ensuring that products remain compliant during their maintenance phase.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and analyzing logged vehicle data from the field to ensure ongoing compliance
• Preparing compliance reports and updates on a regular basis
• Coordinating activities within the C&C department related to product updates in the maintenance phase
• Leading compliance evaluations of product updates in collaboration with Regulation Specialists and Certification Leaders
• Supporting certification updates and documentation as needed

This role combines regulatory knowledge, data analysis, and leadership skills with an understanding of software release processes. It also requires regular collaboration with colleagues across multiple functions and global locations.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience in the automotive sector)
• At least 4 years of experience in data analysis and software release management (preferably within the automotive industry)
• Strong skills in data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, Azure, and Power BI
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Swedish is a plus)
• A structured, analytical approach and the ability to work effectively with complex data
• Personal integrity, courage, and a positive, proactive attitude
