We are looking for a Test Engineer, who will perform testing and verification of our handheld gasoline-powered LME products and handheld battery-powered products (such as grass trimmers, brushcutters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws).

Our team consists of 12 dedicated test engineers each contributing their expertise across multiple projects. We work closely together, sharing responsibilities and supporting each other to deliver high-quality results.

Role description

Your main responsibilities will include strength and functional testing. You will also coordinate with surrounding functions, such as specialist roles within various projects. In addition, you will work on developing test methods, measurement system analyses, and supporting other R&D functions. The role includes following tasks:

• Mechanical testing and long-term endurance testing of products
• Field testing both in Sweden and occasionally abroad
• Statistical analysis and development of data collection methods
• Measurement and verification of product performance
• Design and setup of fixtures and test rigs
• Reporting technical characteristics and documentation
• Collaboration with other departments and specialist functions

Your profile

You are someone who enjoys working across different technical areas— preferably within mechanics and electronics — and you bring depth in at least one of them. You thrive in a dynamic environment, are flexible in your approach, and take initiative while still valuing teamwork. You are curious and motivated to learn, even when it comes to older, fully functional technologies that require maintenance and troubleshooting. Independence is key in this role, but you will always be part of a supportive team that’s ready to help when needed.

Background:

• Technically curious and skilled, with either formal education or equivalent experience. Experience from similar roles is a plus
• Comfortable working with both mechanical and electrical components
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

This position is based on-site in Huskvarna, as the work is conducted in our lab.
