Join Our Team: Seeking a Industrial Network & Cybersecurity Architect

About The Role

We are currently seeking to hire a Industrial Network & Cybersecurity Architect to join our dynamic team. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate who is not only responsible and independent but also has a driven mindset. You’ll be joining our Automation team, working with the in-house developed Capture Controller — the brain behind our battery energy storage systems. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our capabilities in network architecture and cybersecurity as we scale. This role is central to ensuring our systems are secure, robust, and ready for the future.

Work assignments and Key responsibilities

• 1. Network Architecture & Design
• Design, document, and maintain secure network architectures for industrial energy systems (OT), including site-level and system-level topologies.
• Define best practices for segmentation, remote access, firewalling, and industrial protocol handling (e.g. Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, IEC 104, IEC 61850).
• 2. Cybersecurity Strategy & Implementation
• Define and enforce security standards for both OT and IT environments, including threat modeling, access control, patch management, and intrusion detection.
• Guide implementation of cybersecurity measures aligned with industry standards (e.g. IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIS2).
• 3. Delivery Support & Project Involvement
• Participate early in new customer projects to ensure secure and robust network and system configurations from day one.
• Support commissioning and validation of secure connectivity for energy sites.
• 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with the automation, software, and product teams to define secure interfaces between cloud, control systems, and field equipment.
• Act as internal advisor and educator on OT/IT security for engineering, operations, and delivery teams.
• 5. Supplier & Partner Coordination
• Evaluate and advise on network and security aspects of third-party equipment and supplier integrations (e.g. aggregators, SCADA platforms, routers).
• Develop secure integration patterns for partners and remote access solutions.<
• 6. Continuous Improvement & Monitoring
• Develop internal processes for network and security audits.
• Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and regulatory developments relevant to BESS and critical infrastructure.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial IT, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 5+ years of experience in industrial network design and/or OT cybersecurity
• Solid understanding of OT/ICS cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. IEC 62443, ISO 27001) and secure network architecture
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, MQTT, OPC UA, IEC 104, IEC 61850)
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and segmented network configurations in industrial environments
• Background in energy systems, critical infrastructure, or automation (e.g. SCADA, substations, BESS) is a strong plus
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and delivery teams
