About us In this role you will be working in an area that is developing and supporting our future IT solutions in the production preparation area. We are in the beginning of a transformation journey with the focus to transform and modernize our overall IT architecture. We are supporting the Volvo Group’s digital ambitions to become a fully agile, data-driven company. You will belong to an experienced team responsible for in-house developed products. The team has the end-to-end responsibility for both new development and runtime, which provides great opportunities to grow. We work closely with our stakeholders to improve their daily work. We believe that this role requires solid communication skills and a passion for delivering digital products for high performing business users. By joining our team, you will work on developing new features as well as troubleshooting current issues. The day-to-day work will include tasks in all life cycle phases, from the early specification, development, quality assurance and maintenance. You will be an important part in securing that the production engineers efficiently can supply the manufacturing line with instructions and material to be able to produce the exciting new Volvo trucks and buses. You will also be part of a digital transformation journey with great opportunities to learn and work on new technologies. Required key competencies: * Software engineer with at least 4 years of experience in: .NET developer with proficiency in C# * Full Stack (both back- and front end) C# * A university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. * Comfortable working in agile environments, embracing change, and encouraging collaboration across roles. * Great communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. * Possess an innovative and open mindset and approach problems with a solution-oriented attitude. * Possess a mindset of ownership. * Passionate about engineering best practices, clean code, and automating routine tasks. * Fluent in English and enjoys working in international, cross-functional teams. Nice to have: * Scrum master experience. * Experience of Oracle data base and/or Java programming. * Open mindset and interest in exploring how we can enhance ways of working with help of AI. * Familiarity with security and quality tools such as SonarQube, DAST, SAST, and SCA.  Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment. You also have a strong quality focus and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for our unit, understanding how these contribute to the Volvo Group vision and strategy.
