About the role as Head of Accounting
As Head of Accounting, you will play a key role in setting up and scaling the accounting function at Kustom. You will lead the accounting team, which is part of a finance function of eight people and ensure accurate closings, reporting and compliance while continuously improving processes and workflows.

You will also collaborate closely with Kustom’s in-house developers to further improve and adapt their NetSuite environment, making this an exciting opportunity to combine operational accounting leadership with process innovation and system development.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring engagement, technical excellence and clear ownership
• Oversee day-to-day accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting and fixed assets
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual closings as well as high-quality financial statements in line with K3/IFRS and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with tax, audit and statutory obligations
• Collaborate closely with FP&A, Tax, Legal and cross-functional business teams to ensure accurate financial data and shared ownership of financial integrity
• Drive process improvements, automation and system development in NetSuite to support scalability and efficiency
• Act as key contact for auditors, advisors and other internal/external stakeholders

About you:
On a personal level, you are a hands-on and pragmatic leader who is ready to dive into operational details when needed, while also being able to drive change and build scalable processes. You value collaboration, communicate well across functions and thrive in a dynamic environment where things are being shaped.

Important for this role:

• Academic degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Proven experience in leading and developing accounting teams
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting, closings and audit processes
• Solid system knowledge, preferably NetSuite or other ERP systems
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Meriting for this role:

• Experience from IFRS, consolidated reporting and quarterly public reporting
• Background from carve-outs, scale-ups, or transformation projects
• Experience with high-volume transactions
• Experience collaborating with system developers or engineers on accounting/ERP improvements
• Fluency in Swedish (spoken and written)
