Amanuens Position for the Quantification of Plastic Material Flows in Building Construction Information about the division and the project The Building Technology division aims at contributing to a more resource efficient society and to a better environment. You will join the Sustainable Built Environments Research Area (Sustainable Building group) at the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering. This research area focuses on developing methods, tools, and strategies to enhance the sustainability performance of the built environment. Job description We are looking for three student assistants to support the PhD project Measuring to Manage: A Methodological Framework for Quantifying Plastic Material Flows and Assessing the Environmental Impacts of Plastics in Building Construction in the Sustainable Built Environments Research Area. The tasks mainly include: • Conducting data collection from Climate Declaration Reports and Environmental Product Declarations • Quantifying plastic material flows in different building projects using a developed method (training will be provided) • Constructing a database of quantification models • Supporting the development of predictive models for plastic waste generation in building projects We offer interesting and challenging tasks at the forefront of research in a flexible work environment. We expect • High attention to detail, structured working style • Basic knowledge of Environmental Product Declaration • Basic understanding of construction materials and building components • Basic skills in Excel • Prior knowledge of LCA, EPD, or material flow analysis is a plus but not required • Swedish language skill is a plus but not required Contract terms This is a temporary part-time 20% employment for 6 months.
