Test Engineer – Västerås, Sweden

About the Role
We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our System and Application Test team.
This position is a backfill role, offering the opportunity to contribute directly to raising the quality of newly developed products by testing complete systems – including software, electronics, and robot manipulators across a variety of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate and synchronize with multiple stakeholders across projects.
- Drive process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and quality.
- Set up and configure robot cells for testing.
- Program robots in RAPID.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test plans in C# (both automated and manual).
- Write clear and detailed test specifications.
- Continuously improve laboratory environments with focus on 6S, Safety, Automation, and Cell installations.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, automation equipment, and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written). Swedish is highly preferred; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with C# and/or RAPID programming.
- Skilled in collaborative software development using Visual Studio and git-based workflows.
- Experience working in a SAFe environment with Azure DevOps.
- Previous exposure to industrial robots, RobotStudio, or PLC systems is an advantage.
- A positive, humble, and self-driven team player with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
