Role summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.
As the System Owner for the CBS Zone Controller, you will be the go-to technical authority for your system within TRATON Group R&D. You will help shape the future architecture of the electrical system that supports all brands, making strategic decisions, prioritizing requirements, and ensuring successful delivery across the entire product lifecycle.
This is a role where you get to be both a technical expert and a collaboration hub, working with suppliers, internal teams, and colleagues across multiple countries. In short – you’ll have a big say in both the technology and the way we work together.
Job responsibilities
As System Owner, you will own the system roadmap – define, drive, and secure the CBS Zone Controller’s development from concept to release. You will make strategic technical decisions and plan software release schedules, and you will also act as the primary point of contact for the ECU system across TRATON R&D and all brands.
In addition, you will also:
* Coordinate and align with internal teams, suppliers, and brand representatives to ensure seamless system integration.
* Lead problem-solving and root-cause investigations when technical issues arise.
* Ensure internal and external requirements are met and followed up on throughout the organization.
Who you are
We believe you have: a solid experience in embedded systems development; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in embedded systems, mechatronics, computer science, electronics – or equivalent experience; background in implementation, testing, or function development – and readiness to take the next step.
As a person, you are strong in communication, have great collaboration skills, are proactive, structured, and solution-oriented. You have experience working in agile environments and are fluent in English (written and spoken).
In addition to the above, experience with cross-brand collaboration in the automotive industry is appreciated. Familiarity with automotive ECU systems and zonal architectures is beneficial.
Why join us?
* Impact at scale – your work will support multiple global brands and vehicle platforms.
* Innovation-driven environment – contribute to cutting-edge technology in the transportation sector.
* Collaboration across cultures – work with international teams and suppliers.
* Room to grow – develop both technically and strategically in a global organization.
