Role Summery
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.
The objective of this role is to lead the modularization of ICE and fuel‑cell systems within the Value Coordination Flow by setting the shared technical direction, creating architectural guidelines, providing recommendations for solution releases and driving modular system design that enables efficient adjustments over time. To ensure systems meet all brand needs and comply with current and future emission regulations while delivering best‑in‑class uptime and fuel economy, balancing performance through a deep understanding of thermodynamics, chemistry, hardware, software and other cross‑functional requirements. The role contributes to the TRATON modular toolbox by fostering global collaboration and innovation across all relevant technology areas.
Job responsibilities
As the Solution Architect, you set and share a unified technical vision across the Value Coordination Flow, align multiple teams and suppliers around it, enforce modularization principles, bring deep expertise in architecture and system design, and identify new technologies to support the solution roadmap. This includes defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision across the VCF and aligning solution builders from multiple Value Creation Teams (VCTs) and suppliers to a common technical direction.

The Mission of VCF ICE & FC is to provide the Traton Group with highly competitive ICE and Fuel cell systems in a transitioning market. The scope is development of systems that can meet all brand needs incl all existing and future emission regulations at the best in class uptime and fuel economy.
Key to success is to balance overall system performance and properties through understanding thermodynamics, chemistry, HW and SW design and other cross functional needs.
This is a global VCF where people use their skills and innovativeness in all technology areas to develop our part of the TRATON modular toolbox.
You will be reporting to the powertrain Chief of Staff that will uphold competence within Lean Agile management across VCF:s and be part of a functional organization that works closely with the Powertrain Area and domain leadership, providing strategic support and direction and the whole Powertrain organization. You will also work close with our advanced engineering team.
