Role Summary

We are looking for a Design Engineer to strengthen our team within cable harness design for electrified vehicles. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape tomorrow’s electrified trucks together with a fantastic team. You will be responsible for high-voltage cable harness 3D design in our battery electric vehicles (BEV), working in an agile team with designers, a Product Owner, and a Scrum Master. Collaboration across teams and functions is key, as we develop both current and future solutions for all TRATON brands.

This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.

Job Responsibilities

As a Cable Harness Designer, you will be at the forefront of technical innovation, translating concepts into robust and efficient cable routing solutions. Your work will directly impact the performance and safety of our electric trucks, and you’ll be part of a team where knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement are key.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design 3D cable routings in Catia
• Support and ensure installation of cable routings, preferably with experience from vehicle chassis installation
• Create part and mounting drawings
• Collaborate closely with designers and cross-functional teams such as production, purchasing, and aftermarket
• Actively engage in stakeholder management and cross-functional communication

Who You Are

You are an engineer with a passion for complex problem solving and the electrification journey. You thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy teamwork, and communicate well across functions.

We believe you have:

• 2–3 years’ experience in Catia or similar CAD software
• Experience with cable harness design and/or vehicle chassis installation
• A university degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, product development, or similar
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
