Role Summary
We are seeking a senior Business Developer with solid experience in Master Data Management (MDM) to drive adoption, governance, and data quality across the organization. The role involves leading initiatives to onboard new data domains, developing and executing MDM strategies and roadmaps, and promoting the business value of master data through training, workshops, and stakeholder engagement. You will also contribute to the establishment of frameworks and processes, support procurement activities, and evaluate new technologies such as AI and knowledge graphs to strengthen MDM practices.
This role requires proven leadership in MDM implementations, experience in long-term governance and data quality initiatives, and strong communication skills to engage senior management. Curiosity for new technology and the ability to bridge business needs with technical opportunities are key to success.
Job Responsibilities
Drive initiatives to onboard new domains and entities into the MDM platform.
Contribute to the development execution of MDM strategies and roadmaps aligned with business needs.
Promote the business value of master data management, data quality and governance through workshops, training, and stakeholder engagement. Contribute to the development of frameworks and processes for master data management.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies (e.g. AI, knowledge graphs) and assess their potential within the MDM landscape.
Support procurement processes and contribute to vendor evaluations where needed.
Who You Are
Proven senior experience in leading Master Data Management (MDM) implementations, with a demonstrated ability to drive adoption and onboard new data domains over time.
Experience in establishing long-term data governance and data quality efforts within an organization.
Experience in managing procurement processes. Experience in defining and establishing new roles and responsibilities.
Higher education, preferably at university level. Ideally within data science or engineering.
Other skills that are needed for the role:
Ability to effectively communicate the importance of MDM, data governance, and data quality to senior management.
An interest and curiosity in exploring technical opportunities that can be leveraged in MDM solutions, such as knowledge graphs, AI, and similar technologies.
