Background

The Technology Exploration Department (TED) works with different business units to help them grow their business at scale through APIs and/or hardware development kits. The mission also includes envisioning and synthesizing future technologies and helping to bring them to life. This requires strong technical capabilities and self-driven technical leadership.

Role Overview

The role focuses on hardware and software solutions for next-generation automotive platforms. You will be responsible for testing, evaluating, and developing hardware and software solutions, as well as creating intuitive and innovative content to enable internal and external partners to use the products. The work includes creating fast turn-around applications or tutorials using APIs to ease customer onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Test camera modules, SDKs, and automotive computing platforms for performance, functionality, and compatibility.

• Document best practices, create sample code projects, tutorials, and developer guides.
• 
  
• Create comprehensive product documentation, including manuals, technical specifications, and application notes.
• 
  
• Maintain a dedicated web page for documentation and support, handle user tickets, and use CRM functionalities.
• 
  
• Lead and contribute to technical webinars aimed at developers and users of the automotive development kit.
• 
  
• Provide first-line support and education to both external customers and internal teams.
• 
  
• Keep up-to-date with computing platforms, camera modules, and SDK advancements.
• 
  
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback for product improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development, camera technologies, or automotive computing platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson/Drive, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments).
• 
  
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• 
  
• Hands-on experience with image sensors, vision pipelines, and multimedia frameworks (GStreamer).
• 
  
• Proficiency in Linux/WSL and embedded OS, including driver management.
• 
  
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for documentation testing and verification.
• 
  
• Familiarity with Docker, Git/GitLab, and Markdown documentation (preferably AsciiDoc).
• 
  
• Knowledge of image sensors, ISP, and deserializer technologies.
• 
  
• Experience in testing and automation tools.
• 
  
• Excellent communication skills for webinars, presentations, and stakeholder collaboration.
• 
  
• Self-driven, proactive mindset with willingness to learn.
• 
  
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 
  
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Kanban, JIRA).
• 
  
• Awareness of automotive industry trends and safety standards.
• 
  
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or AI tool integration.
