About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to join our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable data products on a modern enterprise analytics platform leveraging Azure, Databricks, Immuta, and Unity Catalog. This role requires strong experience in SAFe Agile, ETL integration (Ab Initio/Informatica), DevOps/MLOps, and advanced pipeline development and deployment.

The role is located in Stockholm.

Key Responsibilities

Data Product Architecture & Development

• Design and implement scalable data products with a clear understanding of data product lifecycle and architecture.
• Build robust data pipelines using Python, Spark, and Databricks.
• Ensure data products are reusable, modular, and aligned with BFS business needs.

Platform Engineering & Integration

• Leverage Azure Data Services, Unity Catalog, and Immuta for secure and governed data access.
• Integrate with legacy ETL tools such as Ab Initio or Informatica to support hybrid data environments.
• DevOps & MLOps Enablement
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and support MLOps practices for model deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to operationalize machine learning models.

Release Management

• Own release planning, versioning, and deployment of data products across multiple environments.
• Ensure compliance with governance, audit, and security standards.

Agile Delivery

• Work within a SAFe Agile framework, actively participating in PI planning, sprint execution, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in BFS or financial services domain.
• Strong expertise in Azure, Databricks, Python, Spark, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Immuta and Unity Catalog for data governance and access control.
• Proficiency in Ab Initio or Informatica ETL tools.
• Solid understanding of DevOps/MLOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, MLflow).
• Experience in SAFe Agile delivery environments.
• Proven experience in release management and enterprise-grade deployment processes.
• Strong grasp of data product architecture, including metadata, lineage, and modular design principles.
