Role: Senior Software Engineer (Backend – Java/AWS)

Location: Huskvarna, Sweden

Remote Work: Up to 25% (minimum 3 days/week onsite)

Assignment Description

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join a robotics-focused engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and scaling of cloud-based backend services that support the next generation of robotic solutions. You’ll collaborate in a cross-functional environment and build robust microservices within a modern cloud infrastructure.

This assignment requires a hybrid work setup, with at least three days per week onsite in Huskvarna.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (Java 11 or newer)
• 
  
• Build and manage distributed systems and microservices architectures
• 
  
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers for deployment and operations using AWS services such as:
• Lambda
• 
  
• ECS/EKS
• 
  
• DynamoDB
• 
  
• S3
• 
  
• API Gateway
• Contribute to infrastructure automation using Terraform or CloudFormation
• 
  
• Participate in the definition and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
• 
  
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and maintain high-quality deliverables
• 
  
• Work within an agile team, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Java (preferably Java 11+)
• 
  
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway)
• 
  
• Experience building and maintaining distributed systems and microservices
• 
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, Docker, and Kubernetes
• 
  
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• 
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• 
  
• Fluent in English (Swedish proficiency is a plus)
• 
  
• Ability to work onsite in Huskvarna 3 days per week
