About the New arena/Center This new initiative housed at the SSE House of Governance and Public Policy (GaPP) aims to create a platform to support the sustainable integration of third-country nationals in Sweden. Together with key stakeholders in the migration and integration process, experiences and insights are researched and incorporated into a systemic perspective. The Arena project emphasizes the importance of collaboration at multiple levels and focuses not only on establishing employment but also on other dimensions of sustainable migration and integration. The Arena project research team will conduct research and disseminate science-based knowledge about how migration regulations, business models, and working conditions interact and effect integration and social sustainability. The Arena project is led by Associate Professor Lin Lerpold, together with Professors Laurence Romani, Karl Wennberg, and Örjan Sjöberg. Beyond the senior faculty, 5 postdocs will be recruited to complete the core team with 3 staff roles. About the position The role of the Arena project/research assistant is to provide administrative and practical support for all project team members and activities. Under the leadership of the project leader and administrative manager, tasks could include: Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Assist in scheduling and organizing meetings and research dissemination events - Maintain project documentation and support communication - Help prepare progress reports and presentations. - Assist in coordinating travel and accommodation for researchers or stakeholders. - Manage participant lists, invitations, and follow-ups. Research Assistance when time allows: - Assist in designing and piloting surveys, interview guides, or data collection tools. - Support fieldwork logistics and coordination with local partners. - Enter, clean, and organize data and maintain data confidentiality and ethical standards. - Conduct literature reviews and summarize key findings. - Compile background information and contextual data for reports or proposals. - Support basic data analysis (quantitative or qualitative) under supervision. - Help draft sections of research reports, policy briefs, or academic papers. - Create tables, charts, and visualizations for presentations or publications.  Your profile You inhabit an ability to work across cultures and sectors with diplomacy and clarity. Given the nature of the role, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as you will interact with various stakeholders across the organization. You should be organized, flexible, and efficient, ensuring tasks are completed with accuracy and attention to detail.  Qualifications - Proficiency in MS Office - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Attention to detail and ability to work independently. - Proficiency in Swedish and English  Meritorious - Experience in SSE internal systems Other This position is a full-time position and will be on a special fixed-term contract for one year, with the possibility of extension.
