Assignment Overview

A senior-level Production Engineer is sought to provide operational and logistics engineering support to a production facility in Västerås. The role focuses on daily support, process ownership, and project execution related to production and logistics lines.

Responsibilities & Tasks

• Provide daily support to the production operations.
• 
  
• Lead logistics engineering activities and support the production team.
• 
  
• Participate in morning meetings and contribute to cross-functional problem-solving.
• 
  
• Procure and implement tools and equipment for production lines.
• 
  
• Educate operators in processes and standard working methods.

Methods & Process Development

• Manage and develop existing operational processes.
• 
  
• Own and ensure compliance with standards, regulatory demands, and internal guidelines.
• 
  
• Take responsibility for the Engineering Dashboard in collaboration with the Logistic Engineer.
• 
  
• Handle incoming packaging requirements and communicate with the packaging engineer.
• 
  
• Identify and address operational shortcomings through focused improvement projects.

Project Responsibilities

• Lead assigned project tasks to ensure timely and quality deliveries.
• 
  
• Report deviations to relevant project and line managers.
• 
  
• Act as a technical project manager within your area of responsibility, managing medium-sized teams and overseeing timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
• 
  
• Manage tool and equipment purchases for production lines.
• 
  
• Oversee and plan long-term capacity for all logistics lines.

Additional Focus Areas

• Maintain and grow knowledge of logistics processes and methods related to production support.
• 
  
• Develop improvement proposals related to logistics workflows.
• 
  
• Ensure adequate support for RTO and other activities.
• 
  
• Design and manage material flow processes for assembly lines.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Logistics Developer.
• 
  
• Experience in the PNTL area supporting production environments.
• 
  
• Proven ability to manage long-term capacity for logistics lines.
• 
  
• Prior experience in project leadership or project management is preferred.
• 
  
• Proficiency in Swedish and English (written and spoken).
