About the role

As a PLC Developer at Freemelt, you will play a key role in both maintaining and developing our additive manufacturing systems. Your first year will focus on optimizing and fine-tuning our existing machines, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably. In the long term, you will be involved in system validation, test rigs, and the development of future machine systems.

Key responsibilities

First year:

• Collect analyze machine operation statistics
• Maintain and improve PLC code
• Create commissioning instructions for production and service teams
• Perform machine tuning and optimization

Long-term:

• Provide Level 3 support for service teams
• Conduct system validation and testing
• Build and maintain test rigs
• Contribute to the development of future machine systems

Required technical competencies:

• Extensive experience in PLC Programming (Experience with Omron controllers and servomotors is a plus)
• Safety PLC programming (Experience with Pilz safety systems is a plus)
• Hardware: Strong understanding of hardware components and integration

If you have experience in Software such as Linux, GitHub, and Python it is an extra plus.
