In brief

We are growing! That being said, there is a great need of establishing Design Lead role in our team. With this addition we hope to maximize the potential of our design team, strengthen the cross platform collaboration and ensure growth of our Norndet design language consistency between platforms.

Where design and leadership skills match together! With Nordnet Design Lead responsibilities you act as a Product Designer superstar with a few additional responsibilities including:

Business responsibilities

• Establish and maintain consistent Nordnet design experience between the platforms.
• Lead and organise Design team through the work in special projects, cross platform and domain initiatives.
• Lead and organise Design team through Nordnet Design System related projects and initiatives.

Behavioural responsibilities

• Mentor and coach fellow designers.
• Inspire, influence and maximize the potential of Nordnet Design team.
• Organise and support your team in reaching design quality standards.
• Advocate, promote and evangelize Nordnet Design System.
  • Be an active participant in Design System related meetings. Effectively communicate Design team decisions, component updates and delegate tasks coming to and from Design System related meetings.
• Establish close collaboration with Design Lead(s) and HoPD.
• Establish good communication and information flow within leadership group.
  • Discuss the project progress, team organisation and design decisions related to regular Design team work and/or special project initiatives.
  • Communicate changes and ensure that design decisions are aligned with
  • HoPD/Management before final design decision is reached.
• Help Design team grow
  • Helping Design team members grow, bringing out the best in the design department.
  • Contribute to the overall team spirit and support creating the best environment for Nordnet Design team.
• Support HoPD through the hiring process and team growth journey.

As a Design Lead at Nordnet you:

• Are inspiring disruptor and innovator in your field of specialization with great communication skills.
• Are equally talented in analytics and creativity.
• Are capable of looking at the big picture and diving into details.
• Have the ability to solve difficult design problems in cross domain initiatives.
• Are strong, confident communicator with colleagues below, above, and adjacent to them.
• Have experience leading multiple projects (Web/App) while sharing work with other product designers and collaborating with cross-functional leadership.
• Have experience interacting with and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Base your design decisions by a deep concern for both business and the customer.
• Have a strong ability to lead a design team through influence and inspiration.
• Have multiple years of professional experience working and handling projects in both App and Web platforms.
