The hospital of Telemark is the main hospital in Telemark county, Norway. Telemark County is a geographically large and diverse county. The two main cities in Telemark are Skien and Porsgrunn, both located in close proximity of one and other. The main division of The hospital of Telemark is located in Skien. The Emergency and Preparedness Clinic consists of four departments: Anesthesiology, Prehospital Services, Intensive care and specialist nursing, and the A&E department in Skien. Read more about us here: www.sthf.no Consultant / spesialist Emergency Medicine Job description - Initial clinical assessment, prioritization and treatment. - Patient logistics and flow internally in the emergency department and towards other clinical units. - Responsibility for patients with non-surgical problems on observation post/AK24 - Clinical support, supervision and guidance of LIS1. - Participation in interdisciplinary teams. - Advice and guidance of primary health care in acute problems. - Participation in on-call work Skills: - Norwegian authorization as a doctor and completed LIS 1 service - Proficient in Norwegian language, written and spoken, for proper professional practice - Service that is not documented will not be included in assessments - Experience within AMM or internal medicine will be emphasized Start date: To be agreed upon based on an individual agreement
