Position Summary

We are seeking an exceptional AI Engineer / Backend Developer with deep expertise in artificial intelligence to join our development team. This role focuses on building and maintaining sophisticated AI-powered backend systems, with particular emphasis on conversational AI and data analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems for AI applications
• Implement and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems
• Build and enhance chatbot infrastructures and conversational AI platforms
• Develop advanced analytics pipelines and data processing systems
• Deploy and manage applications using GitHub workflows and CI/CD practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems
• Optimize system performance and scalability for AI workloads
• Maintain code quality standards and comprehensive documentation

Required Qualifications

Education

• Minimum: Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• Preferred: Currently pursuing PhD in AI/ML or already holds a doctoral degree

Technical Skills

• Python: Expert-level proficiency with modern Python development practices
• RAG Systems: Proven experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures
• Chatbots: Hands-on experience building conversational AI systems and chatbot platforms
• Graph Databases: Experience with graph database technologies (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or similar) for knowledge representation and relationship modeling
• Vector Stores: Proficiency with vector databases and embedding systems (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS, or similar) for semantic search and retrieval
• Analytics: Excellent analytical capabilities with experience in data processing, statistical analysis, and machine learning pipelines
• Deployment: Strong experience with GitHub for version control, CI/CD, and deployment workflows
• Backend Development: Solid understanding of backend architecture patterns, APIs, and microservices

Additional Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
• Understanding of software engineering best practices
• Excellent English communication skills - both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments

Legal Requirements

• EU Citizenship: Must be a citizen of an European Union member state
• Swedish Residency: Must be located in Sweden and possess a valid Swedish personnummer (personal identity number)
