MANAGER, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

We are looking for a Manager, Leadership Development. The role will report to Senior Manager, People Development and will lead the philosophy and approach to leadership development at Wallenius Wilhelmsen, managing global leadership development initiatives and programs across the organization. Provides guidance, support, and direction to drive effective leadership development at all levels. Actively contributes to the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and other initiatives aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities.

Additionally, this role is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive global leadership development strategies in close collaboration with colleagues in the People Development team. It ensures that the leadership development portfolio is strategically aligned with Wallenius Wilhelmsen’s overall business strategy, People Strategy, leadership expectations, and talent development objectives.

Essential Functions

• Design, implement, and facilitate global leadership development programs tailored to leaders, managers, and specialists across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with Strategic People Business Partners, People Partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure relevant program content, effective participant nomination, and high-quality execution.
• Ensure that all leadership development initiatives are outcome-driven and aligned with predefined learning objectives, while remaining responsive to evolving organizational needs and priorities.
• Maintain high standards of program delivery and ensure strong participant engagement and satisfaction across all leadership development offerings.
• Manage program budgets responsibly, ensuring cost-effective delivery without compromising quality, strategic alignment, or impact.
• Organize, coordinate, and facilitate global leadership programs, training sessions, and workshops that support capability-building across the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strategic mindset
• Solid leadership development experience
• Solid experience in designing and implementing training and development programs
• Expertise in learning principles, instructional design, and methodologies for developing leadership skills
• Understanding of our company and drivers of our industry
• Experience with managing complex programs that span across multiple regions, cultural contexts and time zones
• Strong facilitation skills to lead diverse groups and foster an inclusive, collaborative training environment

Education & Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in learning and development
• Proven experience in designing, developing and delivering global leadership and specialists development programs and training
• Experience working in a global environment and deliver development programs across cultures and time zones
• Proven facilitation experience
• Certification in leadership assessment tools is a plus
