Axis is seeking an Environmental Compliance Engineer to join our incredible Environment & Supply Chain Sustainability team at our head office in Lund, Sweden! Who is your future team? Our Environment & Supply Chain Sustainability team within Operations is a dedicated group of eleven, driving environmental strategy for the entire company and the sustainability agenda linked to our supply chain. We ensure our products meet compliance requirements worldwide. What you'll do here as Environmental Compliance Engineer? As an Environmental Compliance Engineer, you'll ensure that our company and products meet the environmental requirements placed on us and our products. Axis is committed to phasing out hazardous substances and has the ambition to be one step ahead of legislation. For example, we have managed to phase out substances like PVC, BFR and CFR from most of our products. Next, we are looking into phasing out PFAS and other substances of concern from our supply chain. In your role, you will collaborate with colleagues within R&D, Sourcing and Sales as well as with authorities and international suppliers. Your mission: * Assess & Approve: Review material declarations from suppliers and provide feedback to development projects. * Educate & Inspire: Be the go-to expert on environmental compliance for our company and suppliers. * Collect & Collaborate: Work with external partners on data collection and use your internal network to drive issue resolution. * Drive Change: Lead initiatives to meet new requirements, implement more efficient processes and keep Axis at the forefront. * Support & Advice: Provide expertise to sales, marketing, and product development teams. Who are we looking for/Who are you? * University degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, ecosystem engineering, chemistry, or similar * Passion and experience in working with phasing out hazardous substances in products * Experience with RoHS, REACH, and other chemical regulations * Great cooperation and communication skills and you contribute to a positive and open working climate. * High sense of responsibility, both regarding your own tasks but also for the team to achieve the common results. * Familiar with PLM systems and compliance databases like Green Data Manager, Assent or similar, * Ability to see details and be thorough. * Structured way of working that results in efficient processes for both you and others. * Fluency in English * Advanced Excel skills What Axis has to offer By joining Axis, you will embark on an exciting journey of personal and professional growth.
