Facility and Logistic Specialist - Maternity Cover
Reporting to
Managing Director Inditex Nordics.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate regular transport and movements (import and export) of merchandise – clothes, furniture, decoration materials and others – within the Nordic countries, Spain and external warehouses.
· Resolve problems concerning transportation, customs, logistic systems, imports/exports and customer issues.
· Support Online department with questions and solutions concerning logistic and transport.
· Keep constant communication with stores and suppliers to coordinate appropriate action plans.
· Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation for customer satisfaction.
· Responsible for adhering to the logistics budgets managing the costs and productivity whilst ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of targets.
· Negotiation of transportation services to lower costs and manage budgets.
· Negotiation of Tender processes for last mile transportation services in the Nordic countries.
· Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
· Analyse current industry trends to source and secure the most cost effective transportation and warehousing services, ensuring accurate capacity to meet requirements.
· Forming and leading third party partnerships to increase internal logistics capacity for business needs.
· Collaborate and work closely with the operational / product / commercial teams within Inditex, driving systems to improve delivery efficiencies beneficial to store operations whilst managing cost control.
Experience and Qualifications
· Experience in managing a similar operation within a fast paced environment.
· Strong analytical skills with ability to think critically.
· Experience in setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
· Experience in analysing numerical data from various perspectives.
· High level of Interpersonal skills with the experience in handling complaints, resolving grievances, settling disputes and negotiation.
