Employee shall be commissioning the contractor installed pipework systems on the projects.

The commissioning team begins by running the system pumps up to 25 hertz via the motor VSD and will then measure the load current and the suction and discharge pressures to ensure the pump is running correctly. They shall then set the main pump flow rate to 115-120% of design flow by increasing the motor VFD speed and by measuring the main commissioning valve with a calibrated digital water flow meter.

They shall then scan all commissioning valves until an index terminal is identified. A proportional balance will be performed on the commissioning valves by adjusting the DRV until each valve is balanced to within 10% of the index design Percentage. Once all the commissioning valves have been proportionally balanced, the main system valve shall be measured and the motor speed will be increased until it is achieving 110% of its required design flow.

The commissioning team shall then carry out a final system scan to record all terminal flow rates at the new pump setpoint. The valves shall be locked in place and the final valve positions will be recorded in the final commissioning test report for the system. Upon completion of the final system scan the commissioning team will complete the pump test for the duty pump and change over to the standby to ensure readings and parameters are recorded for both. All operational parameters will be recorded off of the motor VSD and the pump performance will be recorded on the manufacturers curve.
