About the Role
We are looking for a product development lead to oversee the development of molecular tools and reagents for spatial proteomics. You will lead a small R&D team, drive planning and execution across the development lifecycle, and ensure smooth handover to manufacturing and product support. This is a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of science, process, and product.
Key Responsibilities
· Define and maintain product development plans; manage stage-gate decisions and project priorities.
· Lead a small science team; apply agile methods and sprint planning aligned to Navinci’s timelines.
· Oversee design, optimization, and validation of conjugates, detection systems, and tissue-based assays.
· Translate lab protocols to small-batch manufacturing; document and qualify processes with Quality and Operations.
· Collaborate with Applications, Operations, and Commercial to ensure technical readiness, reagent availability, and customer support.
· Troubleshoot customer issues, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvements in performance and usability.
Qualifications
Required:
· PhD or MSc in Molecular Biology, or related field
· 7+ years of experience in product development (molecular probes, reagents, or RUO kits)
· Hands-on knowledge of assay validation, and small-batch manufacturing
· Experience with SOPs, technical specifications, design transfer, and QC processes
· Strong project leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
· Proven ability to lead and mentor small technical teams in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
· Background in spatial biology, proteomics, or in situ assays
· Familiarity with RUO quality systems and process validation
