Ericsson AB Grow with us About this opportunity: We are currently looking for a Senior Specialist in RAN Positioning area!  As a senior specialist, you will play an important role in our group as you will be responsible for the technical strategies for future positioning development in RAN both in 5G and 6G. You will collaborate closely with SPMs, Ericsson Research and Development and will be responsible for the development plan for the RAN positioning area.    In this role you will join a community of highly qualified system engineers spanning across the globe, working to develop the best performing products in the industry. You will drive innovation with us through system studies on various abstraction levels and interact with developers and testers both locally and at our international sites.  The scope of the System unit in the Product Engineering Unit RAN Services spans from early concept studies through systemization and support during development to evaluating results from deployment in the field. The technical domain we drive and develop includes higher-layer interfaces and protocols, algorithms for mobility, connection handling, positioning, dual connectivity, carrier aggregation, and more.  What you will do: * Develop and ensure execution of a solid strategy with clear view and direction in the RAN positioning area.   * Actively align positioning related features and technical solutions to ensure technical leadership.  * Stay updated on key industry trends, academic research, and technology development in the domain. The new possibilities emerging should be driven into new product ideas.  * Support 3GPP standardization and drive/contribute to the direction for the positioning area   * Secure Innovation and actively work with IPRs  * Give support to the study drivers in the area and support the organization with expertise knowledge. The skills you bring: * MSc level (or higher) in telecommunication or an equivalent level of knowledge.   * Experience with Radio Access Network (RAN) technologies, especially with a background with RAN positioning and systemization are beneficial  * An ability to plan and drive your work, as well as collaborate in teams to reach common goals  * Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills  * Excellent speaking and writing skills in English  Why join Ericsson?
