About us

Njord Survey (formerly Clinton Marine Survey) was founded in 2015 with the ambition and purpose of bringing cost effective solutions to the offshore survey industry. We offer high quality geophysical and hydrographic surveys for renewable energy, navigation, dredging operations, charting, marine construction and more.

Scope of work:

The role as Project Manager is a full-time position located in our office in Frihamnen, Gothenburg with a spectacular view of the Gothenburg harbour.

As a Project Manager you are responsible for all steps in the project process, including to planning, leading and follow-up projects from start to finish. You will report and work close to the company’s Project Director to ensure high quality deliveries to our clients. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Client relationship management, incl main point of contact for client communication and follow-up during projects
• Ensuring effective resolution of conflicts
• Successful delivery of projects according to agreed schedules
• Ensure effective project control to deliver on schedule, budget and HSEQ parameters
• Lead external and internal kick-off meetings, project meetings, lessons learned meetings
• Responsible for project documentation (Project plan, Quality Plan, HSE plan) and ensure is set up and filled in properly prior to start of new projects
• Filling in project information in Reports of different kind.
• Working closely with the Department managers, Team leads/supervisors and Offshore Manager to ensure plan and monitor project activity
• Coordinate and follow-up HSEQ incident reports in the projects and present statistics
• Responsible lead for project budget including monitoring of hours and costs for projects
• Responsibility for invoice preparation and approval by the client ensuring timely payment

• Lead of internal projects including planning of budget, time and resources together with Project Director
• Sharing regular updates with the Project Director

In the role as Project Manager, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to internal- and external marketing and communication strategies. Business travels in Sweden and Europe are conducted when needed.

Requirements:

• An educational background in project management, economy, business administration or equivalent
• Documented experience from leading projects
• Professional proficiency level in English (organizational language)
• Since the position is based at the Gothenburg office, work visa in Sweden is a requirement

Merits (not mandatory):

• Previous experience from the marine survey industry
• A background of offshore work or vessel knowledge
• Managing HSEQ reports

We are reaching out to you who have documented experience from leading projects where you have been responsible for communicating with clients, leading teams and final delivery as well as responsible for HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality) in your projects. You are a fast learner and a doer who takes responsibility for your work tasks. You have developed an ability to determine when to prioritize what and you have an established a way of structure and follow-up your own as well as the projects’ progress. The role requires you to always be one step ahead and make sure that delivery to clients is made according to set deadlines.

You have an eye for identifying areas of improvement and take your initiatives forward. You enjoy working both independently as well as in a team and are good at maintaining professional work relations. To succeed in the role, you are communicative and responsive to the needs and requests from clients and colleagues.
