Assignment Overview

We are looking for an experienced Product Engineer – Wiring Harnesses for our client in the automotive sector.

You will be responsible for specific wire harnesses, ensuring they meet customer requirements and comply with internal standards and policies. The role involves both technical responsibility and close collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of designated wire harness designs based on customer specifications
• Ensure all engineering specifications are available and distributed in a timely manner
• Manage and track engineering changes in the designated system; act as change owner
• Maintain strong relationships with customer engineering teams
• Provide feedback and input on design issues to ensure robustness
• Collaborate actively in cross-functional project teams
• Act as the main engineering interface between the client’s manufacturing plants and customer engineering teams
• Coordinate Change and Release Management between internal plants and customers
• Ensure collaboration with manufacturing plants and technical/service centers
• Identify and escalate drawing and feasibility issues to relevant stakeholders
• Participate in and drive BOD reviews to ensure manufacturability of harnesses
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Wiring Harness Design expertise
• Proven experience with engineering change management systems
• Strong understanding of automotive harness manufacturing and design processes
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Language: English – Proficient
